Modes of Study
1. The degree is offered in both full-time and part-time mode.
2. The normal full-time load is two units per semester. However, students seeking an accelerated program may submit reasons for varying this limit to the Postgraduate Committee for consideration.
3. Part-time students normally enrol in one unit per semester and may not enrol in more than three units per year. They are encouraged to enrol in at least one unit per year.
4. At least four units are offered each semester. At least one of these is in `intensive' mode. For details of units offered in a particular semester please contact the Postgraduate Studies Administrator.
5. Normally at least one units involving a book of the Bible in the original language is offered in 'intensive mode' each semester.
6. Full-time students who have completed a three year theology degree (either the Moore College B.Th., a three year degree from an approved college which is an ACT affiliate or an equivalent three year university degree) must also enrol in Issues in Theology and either Old Testament 4 or New Testament 4.
7. Applicants with a three year theology degree may not enrol full-time within one year of completing their degree, except by special permission of the Board of Studies. This requirement serves to ensure that students choosing to complete the College's four-year B.D. are not disadvantaged. However, exceptions may be considered for missionaries wishing to avoid the extra year's delay in taking up appointments which are often in urgent need of being filled.
