Requirements for Graduation
Normal Level
The Board of Studies recommends to the Governing Board of the College that the degree be awarded when the following requirements of the course have been satisfied
- All research projects have been passed (with a mark of at least 50%); and
- The two external examiners of the thesis recommend the award of the degree.
Graduation with Merit
The Board of Studies recommends to the Governing Board of the College that the degree be awarded with merit when the following requirements of the course have been satisfied
- All research projects have been passed (with a mark of at least 50%);
- The candidate’s average in research projects is at least 72.5%; and
- The two external examiners of the thesis recommend the award of the degree with merit.
Where the two external thesis examiners recommend that the degree not be awarded, but the student has passed all research projects, the Board of Studies may recommend to the Governing Board of theCollege that the candidate be offered advanced standing (at an appropriate level) in the Master of Arts in Theology.
