Bibliographic Guidelines
Postgraduate research and writing assumes an adequate grasp of the technology of scholarship and the attendant stylistic protocols. A summary of these is set out in section 3.8.3 of the Student Handbook. They are taken from Patrick H. Alexander et al., eds, The SBL Handbook of Style (Peabody: Hendrickson, 1999). Of particular relevance for postgraduate students is the student supplement to The SBL Handbook of Style.
Bibliographic Items Repeated
Where a student enrols in a unit in which one or more of the items on the bibliography is the same as items on bibliographies for units already passed, the student is required to declare the situation and agree alternate item(s) with the lecturer concerned.
